How AI Picks the Best NSE Stocks Every Night
Every night, while most traders sleep, AIRV's AI engine quietly scans 110 stocks from the NSE universe — Nifty 50 plus Midcap 60 — and picks the top 5 for the next trading day.
No emotion. No guesswork. Just data.
Here's exactly how it works.
Step 1 — The Universe (110 Stocks)
We don't scan every stock on NSE. We focus on a curated universe of 110 liquid, high-quality stocks:
- Nifty 50 — India's largest 50 companies by market cap
- Midcap 60 — The next 60 high-liquidity mid-size companies
Why only 110? Because quality matters more than quantity. Illiquid stocks have wide spreads, unpredictable price action, and low institutional participation — all of which make algorithmic trading unreliable.
Step 2 — The Pre-Filter (RSI + Volume Gate)
Before any AI is involved, every stock must pass two hard filters:
RSI Check The Relative Strength Index measures momentum. We look for stocks in the 45–68 range — healthy momentum, not overbought. Stocks above 82 or below 30 are automatically rejected.
Volume Gate A stock must show at least 0.8× its 20-day average volume. Low volume means no institutional interest — we skip those entirely. High-volume sell-offs (price falling on 2× volume) are also filtered out.
This alone eliminates roughly 70 of the 110 stocks every night.
Step 3 — AI Sentiment Analysis
For the ~40 stocks that pass the pre-filter, we run an AI sentiment check using real-time data:
- Recent news headlines and analyst commentary
- FII/DII flow patterns
- Sector momentum
- Global cues (US markets, crude oil, dollar index)
Each stock gets a sentiment score from 0–100:
- 80+ → Strongly bullish (max 20 points added to composite score)
- 60–79 → Bullish (14–17 points)
- Below 60 or BEARISH → Stock is eliminated
Only stocks with a BULLISH sentiment score ≥ 60 move to the next stage.
Step 4 — Technical Pattern Recognition
This is where the real edge comes in. For the top 15–20 candidates, our AI analyses:
- Candlestick patterns — hammer, bull flag, double bottom, morning star
- Trend alignment — is the stock above its 20-day and 50-day SMA?
- Volume on reversals — did the reversal happen on 1.5× average volume?
- Support and resistance levels — is the stock near a key level?
Each stock receives a technical score from 0–30.
A stock pulling back to its 50-day SMA, forming a hammer candle on 2× average volume, with RSI at 47 moving upward — scores 25–30. That's a high-conviction setup.
Step 5 — The Composite Score
Every stock gets a final score out of 100:
| Component | Max Points | |---|---| | RSI quality | 20 | | AI sentiment | 20 | | Technical pattern | 30 | | Volume quality | 15 | | Trend alignment | 15 | | Total | 100 |
Only stocks scoring 65 or above qualify. The top 5 by score become tomorrow's trades.
Step 6 — The CIO Gate (Macro Check)
Before any order is placed, our Chief Investment Officer AI — Rajesh — runs a macro sanity check at 11:35 PM IST:
- India VIX above 25 → RED gate, no trades today
- India VIX 20–25 → YELLOW gate, reduce position size to 75%
- India VIX below 20 → GREEN gate, proceed normally
Rajesh also checks consecutive losses, open exposure, and global risk events. If something looks wrong — he stops the system regardless of signal quality.
This is the safety net that protected capital during every major market correction.
Step 7 — Order Placement at 9:32 AM IST
At exactly 9:32 AM IST — 2 minutes after NSE opens — limit orders are placed in your AngelOne account at the previous close price. Two minutes of buffer allows opening volatility to settle.
Position sizing scales with conviction:
- Score 95+ → 2× base capital (₹10,000)
- Score 85–94 → 1.5× base capital (₹7,500)
- Score 75–84 → 1× base capital (₹5,000)
- Score 65–74 → 0.5× base capital (₹2,500)
Step 8 — Automatic Exit Management
Once in a trade, exits are fully automatic:
- T1 target — 50% of quantity sold at +4% via limit order
- Stop-loss — remaining 50% at -5% via SL-M order
- Trailing stop — kicks in at +2% profit, moves to breakeven, then tightens to +1.5% at +4% gain, +3% at +6% gain
No action needed from you. The system handles everything.
What the Numbers Look Like
Historically, stocks passing all 5 stages with a score ≥ 65 have a 65–68% bullish hit rate — meaning roughly 2 in 3 signals reach the +4% T1 target before the -5% stop is hit.
At a 68% win rate with a 4% gain on winners and 5% loss on losers, the expected value per trade is positive:
(0.68 × 4%) + (0.32 × -5%) = 2.72% - 1.60% = +1.12% per trade
Compounded across 5 signals per day, 22 trading days per month — that's meaningful.
